The Tema Development Corporation (TDC) will soon pull down Anointed Palace Chapel International, Tema Branch belonging to Reverend Francis Antwi alias Obofour over encroachment, MyNewsGh.com has gathered.
Checks from the TDC Development Company survey department and Tema layout has revealed that Reverend Obofour’s Church Anointed Palace Chapel International situated at Community 19 near T and T Properties does not have any valid land documents
The said church in dispute does not also have any permit processing documents with TDC since the area the church is situated has been declared inhabitable for both residential and commercial purposes due to its closeness to a water way that floods the whole area anytime it rains.
Officials of TDC told MyNewsGh.com that the church and other illegal developers in the area have encroached on the said water way and the Municipal Assembly which per the new local government act 936 oversees all development in that jurisdiction has the right to take any action against the illegal structures and development in the area.
Assignees of the controversial man of God on Monday November 25, 2019 brutalized officials of the Tema West Municipal Assembly (TWMA) who visited his church in the area to demand for building permits.
According to officials of the TWMA, it was part of their routine activities in the company of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) to inspect the building permit but the hostile boys of the Man of God beat them to pulp.
A staff of the Assembly who videoed the incident, said the irate boys used various life-threatening objects at Shalom Spot in Community 18 where the church is located on the officials and in the process injured some of them.
“The Finance Officer, the Chief Executive and Engineer were beaten. The phone of the Engineer was smashed…the Assembly vehicle the windscreen was smashed. It was a very bad incident to experience. Knives were drawn here, sticks and others. No one was spared the beatings of Obofour’s boys”, the staff narrated in the video.
The matter has since been reported to the police who have arrested five suspects said to be assisting them investigating them.
After harbouring his reservations about how Andy Dosty, host of Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz has “constantly failed” to acknowledge his producers any time he wins an award for a very long time, Mr. Haglah, producer of the lifestyle and entertainment morning show on Monday, November 25, 2019 finally bared his teeth on live radio.
“You won an award two weeks ago, you came on air, you never acknowledged your producers,” said Mr. Haglah in response to a claim by Andy Dosty that he always does.
“Without producers, there are no prese
nters… There’s been another award you won. You came on air, thanked the fans, those who voted and the organisers; you never acknowledged your producers,” Mr. Haglah argued.
Admitting that he had harboured his displeasure for a very long time, Haglah who is also the host of The Mixtape Show poked Andy Dosty in the eye again as he said, “today, I’m telling you in your face. Learn to acknowledge your producers.”
Andy Dosty was adjudged ‘Radio Personality of the Year’ at the 2019 National Communications Awards (NCA) as he beat competition from Giovani Caleb, Abeiku Santana, Naa Ashorkor, Blakk Rasta, Nana Yaw Sarfo, Rev Erskine, Sammy Flex, and Antoine Mensah.
In his social media post sighted by Ghanaweb, the veteran expressed gratitude to his fans, voters, organisers and Hitz FM.

I have been betrayed – Anas Aremeyaw Anas

The work of a journalist is hard enough, but when that journalist decides that he will foray into the uncharted waters of undercover investigations then he and she is walking the thin line between life and death.
The fallout of a classic investigative piece can blow up the life of powerful political or social personality, and in some cases powerful corporations. So, there is always a target on your back if you are a prolific investigative journalist.
For someone like Anas Aremeyaw Anas, masking his face is both an identity and a way to protect himself and his family. He knows his job is dangerous and relies on his hidden identity to stay safe but has he always been successful in that regard?
In 2018, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, recounted the countless number of times he was betrayed by some trusted colleagues in his field of work.
Speaking at the Media Festival at Takoradi in 2018, Anas Aremeyaw stated that betrayal has been his major challenge working as an undercover journalist. Anas also acknowledged his colleagues who have protected him by concealing his true identity.
Anas Aremeyaw Anas has admitted to several journalists in the line of his work as undercover journalists revealing that he has been betrayed by some persons he refused to name.
“If you do this work for 20 years and you have not been betrayed then you are joking”, he revealed at the weekend during the Media Festival in Takoradi organized by The Press Foundation (TPF) with support from MyNewsGh.com.
The controversial undercover journalist indicated that betrayal is one of the major challenges of the work as an undercover journalist explaining how persons who betrayed him in one way or the other came back begging.
He stated that he always sticks to the truth and those who fallout later come begging which is normal of human beings.
“I stick to the truth and those who betray us come back begging. I anticipate such things coming”, he revealed.
Prior to the premiering of the infamous number 12 video Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako was heard on tape saying the source of all the false information and bogus pictures of Anas is from a disgruntled member of the Tiger Eye PI who was dismissed.
Kwaku Baako who was speaking off air in the studios of Peace FM with Kwame Sefa Kayi didn’t know his faint voice in the background was seeping into the microphone with clarity.
According to Mr Baako, the disgruntled Tiger Eye PI Member was asked to go to school and upgrade himself but refused on several occasions, for which reason they had to give him the sack.
MyNewsGh.com earlier reported Mr Baako as having rubbished pictures released by outspoken New Patriotic Party (NPP) financier, Kennedy Agyapong as fake.
Anas himself at the event over the weekend commended his colleagues including primary and Junior High School mates for concealing his identity based on a pact he has with them.
“I told my schoolmates, I am moving into another part of the world so anyone who has my images must keep them well in your own interest even though I use several faces in the line of investigative work. Colleagues have done very well and heeded to my advice of partnering and protected me over the years and concealed my identity”, he commended.
