Adele splits from husband Simon Konecki after three years of marriage

The 30-year-old married Konecki, a charity entrepreneur, in 2016 after five years of dating.Adele has split from her husband Simon Konecki, a representative for the star has said.

In a statement, Benny Tarantini and Carl Fysh said: "Adele and her partner have separated."They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment."Tottenham-born Adele gave birth to their son, Angelo, in 2012.

The singer didn't publicise her relationship, wedding or marriage, but addressed Konecki as her husbdand during an acceptance speech at the 2017 Grammys.

In her speech, she said: "Grammys, I appreciate it. The Academy, I love you. My manager, my husband and my son, you're the only reason I do it."

The 30-year-old married Konecki, a charity entrepreneur, in 2016 after five years of dating.In 2018 it was revealed Adele made a staggering £142m in one world tour, cementing her place as one of Britain's richest musicians.

The 29-year-old singer made more than $1m per show in 2016/2017, while touring with her album 25.

In March, she was pictured entering a recording studio in New York City, sparking rumours she is working on new music.

Shatta Wale has fired some shots at Legendary Ackah Blay by tagging his ‘We are taking the girls away’ song as a senseless and useless one.

Shatta wrote on Twitter; ‘Go sing sensible song aaa “We are taking the girls away“ That be the better advice you go fit give to the youths right -thru music ? Aboa !!!!‘

Highlife musician Anthony Akablay, said Shatta Wale is having a negative impact on the youth.

“With his large fan base I don’t expect Shatta Wale to use certain words and engage in indecent acts. I know he has the largest fan base in Ghana at the moment but what impact is he making on them?

The youth are engaged in all sorts of bad activities because they see him as their role model and blindly copy what he does,” he told Showbiz in an interview on Saturday, April 13.

To Akablay, because Shatta Wale has a lot of influence on the youth, he can push them to using their energies and time positively.

“I expect a lot from him as the leader he claims to be because the youths are going wayward and I will blame it largely on him,” he said.

Few hours after his comments, Shatta Wale took to Facebook and promised some hot and free slaps to Aka should he meet him anywhere.

It seems he isn’t content with his promised slaps and he has followed it up with an insult.

Lovers charged in court for screaming during sex

A man and his lover were charged in a Meru court for screaming while having sex, inconveniencing members of the public.

Chacha Mwita and Cynthia Mauhokha pleaded guilty to two charges facing them before resident magistrate Maureen Odhiambo.

Magoola Twaha, a Ugandan aged 27 years, was also charged alongside the two but denied the two counts.

The court heard that on Sunday at Makutano Imenti North, Meru, the three were found in a building of Humphrey Murithi with the intent to commit a felony.

Mwita, 24, who is a businessman and Cynthia, 31, a casual labourer, were charged with having sexual intercourse in a lodging while screaming thereby causing inconvenience to the public.

The two said it was true but after state prosecutor Adams Chelule read details pertaining to the charges, their explanation made the court to enter a plea of not guilty.

Chelule told the court on Sunday, police officers from Meru police station acting on a tip-off from members of the public ambushed the three at Palms Guest House, where they had got information that a witchdoctor was staging a scene to dupe members of the public.

Chacha and Cynthia were to pretend to be stuck together during sexual intercourse and the witchdoctor (Twaha) would free them by magic.

He said when police visited the lodging, the two were heard screaming in one of the rooms. They proceeded to the room and found Chacha and Cynthia in the act screaming in the presence of Twaha.

Cynthia told the court she was in her usual business when she and Chacha agreed on Sh 1,000 for sex but he gave her only Sh 400.

She said she knew Chacha since last December and she was shouting demanding pay before having sex with him.

Chacha said they were not stuck as police alleged and that they were amused to see a big crowd gathering.

Police were forced to shoot in the air to disperse the crowd eager to view the scene.

Magistrate Odhiambo said in view of their response the court presumed they had not pleaded guilty.

She ordered the three to get their freedom after depositing a cash bail of Sh20, 000 or a bond of Sh50, 0000.

The case will be mentioned on April 29 and heard on May 15, 2019.

NAM1 is not a criminal, government is not treating him fairly-Stonebwoy

Ghanaian Afropop and dancehall artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla popularly known as Stonebwoy has stated that he is happy about the unfair treatment meted out to the CEO of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM1).

According to the ‘Bawasaba’ hitmaker, Nana Appiah Mensah is not a criminal and that he will need confirmation from the CEO himself before he believes the stories about him.

Stonebwoy also called on the government to prove if NAM1 is really a criminal and that NAM1 is not being treated fairly.

He also described Nana Appiah Mensah as a nobleman who created job opportunities for a lot of people.

The award-winning dancehall artiste revealed that he hasn’t been in touch with NAM1 for a while now and that he wishes him the best in all his endeavours.

Stonebwoy to headline Otumfour's concert and opana is spying at him

Stonebwoy has been revealed as the top artiste to headline the upcoming concert staged to mark 20 years of Otumfuor Osei Tutu II's reign as Asantehene. 

According to the communique, Stonebwoy will be the headline artiste to be held on April 26, 2019 in Kumasi.

The concert which will be held at Heroes Park, Baba Yara Sports Stadium will witness a lot of activities to mark the much anticipated event. In an interview that he granted Accra based TV station, GH One TV, the 'Kpoo Keke' hitmaker revealed that he thinks he is the best artiste in Ghana. He said even though the likes of Medikal, Darko Vibes and Kelvyn Boy are doing great, it is safe for him to say he is the best artiste in Ghana. Stonebwoy seems to be enjoying his peak as an artiste at the moment after making it as one of the most nominated artiste in the upcoming VGMA. Aside living his best life as an artiste, Stonebwoy recently organized a naming ceremony for his second child.

Strongman Burner is disrespectful & ungrateful -Mr Logic

Ghanaian musical artist and entertainment critic, popularly known as Mr Logic has described hip-hop artiste and rapper Strongman Burner as disrespectful and ungrateful.

According to Mr Logic, Strongman had a bad attitude while he was under Sarkcess Music and that it was wrong for Sarkodie to sign him in the first place.

“From day 1, I have always held the opinion that it was wrong for Sarkodie to sign Strongman. You don’t need to sign anybody if society is pushing you to do so.

You just have to enjoy your career, keep pushing your music and yourself. Where did Sark go wrong by signing Strongman? How can you say “Most good footballers turn to be bad coaches. Don’t be deceived.”

It’s a typical vibe of ungratefulness and its not something the industry should smile with”, he stated.

On 14th April, Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie through his social media handle disclosed that Strongman’s contract with his record label has ended.

Sarkodie described the journey of working with Strongman as priceless and a remarkable one.

He also was grateful for working with him, wished him well in all his future endeavours and promised to be of any assistance should his services be needed.

However, Strongman before the announcement by Sarkodie took to Twitter to send an indirect message to his boss.

KiDi flaunts his new heavy machine in beautifull

Richie Mensah was fired from VGMAs board because of MzVee – George Quaye reveals

Head of Public Events and Communications of Charterhouse, George Quaye, has revealed that Lynx Entertainment Boss, Richie Mensah, was for some on the VGMAs board but he was fired because of matters relating to MzVee.

George Quaye, who was hosting Joy FM’s “Showbiz A to Z” made the revelation with concern that, Richie Mensah, who is contesting for MUSIGA vice president, cannot be on the VGMAs board by default of his position, should he win the election, because he was once fired from the board.
Detailing why Richie was expelled from the VGMAs board, he disclosed that it happened the moment the Lynx C.E.O signed MzVee onto his record label. George explained that members of the board are not supposed to have any ties to musicians, which will cause some conflict of interest as VGMAs board members.

“As soon as he signed MzVee he was fired. The board no dey play like that, he was fired instantly. Same for Kwame Fakye, soon as he signed Adina he was fired quickly” George said.
Richie Mensah, who was a guest on the show, also used the moment to reiterate that, yes truly he is not a member on the VGMAs board and he is happy to announce it because people always attack him anytime any of his signees earn a VGMAs nomination.

Kwaw Kese reacts to Strongman’s departure from Sarkcess Music

On Sunday, April 14, 2019, Sarkodie who is the CEO of Sarkcess Music announced via social media that his label’s two-year contract with Strongman had ended.

Sarkodie described Strongman as a ‘gem of his kind’ as he wished him well in his future endeavours.

Kwaw Kese, reacting to Strongman’s departure from Sarkcess Music called on Ghanaians to appreciate an artist trying to push another artist.

According to him,it is never an easy task and those who took the bold decision to help other artistes should be praised and not criticized.

Shatta Wale throws shade at Sarkodie after SarkCess Music splits with Strongman and he must advice him again.

As we reported earlier some days ago concerning the end of contract between Sarkodie’s record label, Sarkcess Music and rapper strongman has garnered an immeasurable buzz on various showbiz platforms as majority of the industry player suggest the Sarkcess Music management would have extended the contract with the “Transformer” hitmaker.

Controversial and self-acclaimed Dancehall King Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale has also joined the canker and has thrown subtle jab at Sarkodie over the same brouhaha.



On a recent post made by the “My Level” crooner shared on his certified Twitter handle jabbed Sarkodie of being broke and a bad manager.



Shatta Wale mocked the most decorated Ghanaian rapper of lacking enough financial incitements and necessities to push the artists on his record label but will rather use any means to end the contract whilst this may affect the entire career of the parted artist.

He further added that if you have money as an artist,you won’t worry when pushing another talent since it’s an investment from the money you have made but if you can’t handle then it means you’re financially handicapped.

Vibz Kartel Win His Appeal.

Entertainer Adijah ‘Vybz Kartel‘ Palmer has won his appeal on a murder charge for which he was serving a life sentence and should be out of prison later this month.

Vybz Kartel’s attorney, Bert Samuels, says that he got a call from the clerk for the lead appeals judge early this morning telling him to report to the Court of Appeal in Kingston immediately as they had come to a decision.

“I was very nervous on my drive to the court as I had no idea what the result would be but I was cautiously optimistic. The judge took into account all the evidence we presented at the appeal trial and decided that there were flaws in the original trial that violated my client’s rights. So they overturned his conviction,” Samuels told 18 Karat Reggae

Now that the decision has been reached in the appeal, Vybz Kartel will still have to remain in custody for a few more days while certain paperwork file their way through the justice system.

“I just spoke to him and he is extremely happy because his career has been terrible affected for many years. Of course my client missed revenue opportunities because he was not able to perform live for all the years he has been incarcerated. He is very grateful that justice has prevailed, having always maintained his innocence. He is also grateful for the persons who stood with him,” Samuels said.

Vybz Kartel’s manager said once the world boss has had a chance to spend quality time with family and friends, his next order of duty will be to go on a world tour to entertain his fans.

“We already came up with the name of the tour. It will be called ‘Long Wait for Justice tour’,” Kartel’s manager said.
